The Impressions were created through an Anarchaeology process which Proboscis conducted with over 20 local people in the city during July and August 2008 &#8211; uncovering stories, experiences and histories of the city as well as hopes and aspirations for its future.\u00a0The process sought to raise the voices of people who would not usually be heard as part of a major urban regeneration plan, and form part of a Culture of Listening. The StoryCubes themselves focused on \u2018underused assets\u2019 &#8211; those things which\u00a0through\u00a0conversations, observations, encounters and journeys appeared\u00a0abundant within the city, yet not used or utilised to their full potential:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>creative talent of the local population<\/li>\n<li>diversity of the local population<\/li>\n<li>green spaces<\/li>\n<li>the River Nene<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Perception Peterborough<\/strong>\u00a0is a dynamic and creative visioning project which brought together key local representatives with creative thinkers to develop innovative approaches to the challenges and opportunities facing Peterborough. Proboscis was commissioned to develop and lead a series of creative workshops alongside consultants\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.haringwoods.com\" target=\"_blank\">Haring Woods Associates<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Published September 2008<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/proboscis.org.uk\" target=\"_blank\">Proboscis<\/a>\u00a0is a non-profit, artist-led creative studio based in London, UK.
