This eBook provides an overview of our aims and objectives as well as some of the key projects which we undertook, including <a href=\"http:\/\/socialtapestries.net\/snout\/\" target=\"_blank\">Snout<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/socialtapestries.net\/feralrobots\/\" target=\"_blank\">Robotic Feral Public Authoring<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/socialtapestries.net\/havelock\/\" target=\"_blank\">Conversations and Connections<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/socialtapestries.net\/jennyhammond\/\" target=\"_blank\">Everyday Archaeology<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/socialtapestries.net\/jennyhammond\/\" target=\"_blank\">Experiencing Democracy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This publication coincides with the <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.buildingcentre.co.uk\/events\/event_diary_details.asp?id=398\" target=\"_blank\">Digital Cities: London&#8217;s Future<\/a><\/em> exhibition at the Building Centre in London (21 Nov 2008-17 Jan 2009).<\/p>\n<p>Published November 2008<\/p>\n<p><strong>Giles Lane<\/strong> is an artist, researcher and teacher. He founded and is co-director of Proboscis, a non-profit creative studio based in London where, since 1994, he has led projects such as <em>Urban Tapestries<\/em>; <em>Snout<\/em>; <em>Mapping Perception<\/em>; <em>Experiencing Democracy<\/em>; <em>Everyday Archaeology<\/em>; and <em>Private Reveries, Public Spaces<\/em>. Giles is a Visiting Tutor on the MA Design Critical Practice at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gold.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Goldsmiths College<\/a> (University of London) and is a Research Associate of the Media and Communications Department at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lse.ac.uk\" target=\"_blank\">London School of Economics<\/a>.
